SOS Children’s Villages Kazakhstan has successfully completed the 90-day international campaign “Zero Tolerance in Action: Closing the Gap” and joined 85 national associations of the SOS Children’s Villages Federation that fulfilled all programme requirements.

The certificate confirms that the organisation has implemented five key elements of its child safeguarding system:

• a Code of Conduct and a strong commitment to protecting children and young people;
• an operational National Incident and Crisis Management Team;
• mandatory staff training;
• accessible mechanisms for reporting violations of children’s rights;
• regular risk assessments and mitigation plans.

This achievement confirms that the child safeguarding system at SOS Children’s Villages Kazakhstan meets international standards.
